It came to pass in the settlement of Praszka on the 24th of February 1896 at 10:00 AM that there appeared [before us] in person the Jew Lajb Józefowicz, trader, age 34, and, in the presence of the witnesses Józef Sudowicz, homeowner, and Izrael Ickowicz, butcher, both age 69, all of them residing in Praszka, and showed us a child of male gender and said that it had been born in Praszka on the 20th of the current month and year at 2:00 PM to his legal wife Maszka (nee Lajzerowicz), age 35. This child at a religious ceremony was given the name of Lajzer. This document, after having been read out to those present, was completed and signed.
