It came to pass in the settlement of Kock on the 8th/21st of October 1904 at 10:00 AM that there appeared [before us] the rabbi of the Kock Synagogue District, Berek Kersz, along with Szymon Ajzenman, a bachelor, age 20, son of the still-living Chaim and Golda (nee Pozemczyk), the legally-married couple Ajzenman, born and residing in the settlement of Kock, and Joachweta (sic) Tasiemka, a single woman, age 26, daughter of the still-living Szmul and Czarna-Ita (nee Gochbaum), the legally-married couple Tasiemka, born and residing in the settlement of Kock, and, in the presence of the witnesses Aron Szczeciniarz, laborer, age 36, and Wolf Tasiemka, homeowner, age 60, both residing in the settlement of Kock, stated that, on the previous day at 9:00 PM, a religious wedding took place between Szymon Ajzenman & Joachweta Tasiemka. This wedding was preceded by three marriage banns announced on the 14th, 21st and 28th of August 1904 in the Kock Jewish synagogue. The newlyweds stated that they had not concluded any prenuptial agreement. Consent for this union was verbally given by the newlyweds’ parents. This document was read out to the petitioner and to the witnesses and was duly signed by the rabbi and by us, the newlyweds’ parents being illiterate.
