Here lies

YOSEF TZVI son of Reb Chayim Yitzchak

He passed away 28 Shvat 5696

May his soul be bound up in the bond of life.

'Reb' is an honorific; it does not mean rabbi.

The second part of his name, Tzvi, is the Hebrew word for deer. This is probably connected to his secular middle name, Hart.

In case you are trying to trace his father: Chayim means life. Many men with this name -- but certainly not all! -- have a secular name beginning with H, often Hyman. Yitzchak is Hebrew for Isaac.

There is a poem in Yiddish at the bottom. The beginnings of the lines are hidden behind the vines. If you have a photo that shows the entire text, I can do a better job. Meanwhile, what it says, partly,
... he was ripped away too young in years
... will continue to remain in our memory
... sister and friend so well loved
... lies with you in the grave.
