9/12/2021 7:10 PM Here lies

our dear mother

FAYGA CHAYAH daughter of Reb Natan Zalman

She passed away 19 Menachem Av 5692. May her soul be bound up in the bond of life.

====================================================

'Reb' is an honorific; it does not mean rabbi.

The first part of her father's name can be pronounced either Noson (the Ashkenazic pronunciation) or Natan (the Sephardic, or modern Hebrew, pronunciation. The secular version would be Nathan, although this was not necessarily his secular name.

The second part, Zalman, is the Yiddish version of the name Solomon. Again, there are no rules for "matching" Jewish and secular names, so his name(s) might have been very different.

The month of Menachem Av also has the shorter name: Av.

The 19th of Menachem Av of the year 5692 began at sunset on August 20th, 1932, and ended at sunset on the 21st.
