I read Sadrei in HUngary

Hello Elimelech,

I too diciphered the spelling Sadrei.

Using that spelling I searched the JewishGen Town Finder (using the "sounds like" setting) and found several towns as possibilities. The one that stood out as one real option was "JEDER" which was in the Szatmar, Marmaros area of Hungary around 1900. It is now in Romania, and there are many spellings of the town.

I do believe that this could be your best bet and probably worth following up. Let me know if you need any help in accessesing it....Jo
