On  Response
9/9/2021 12:36 AM Hello Marcella,

The translation is as follows:

"Here lies Reb Tzvi Yaakov, Ben/(son of) Reb Binyamin, the Kohane, who died on the 22nd day of the Hebrew month of Sivan in the Hebrew year of (stated in Hebrew letters).....May his soul be bound up in the bonds of life."

The word "Reb" is used as a title of respect, however, it does NOT imply rabbi.

Jacob Cohen had the double given name Tzvi Yaakov, while his father's single given name was Binyamin. It is followed by the word "HaKohane", which indicates that he held the designation of Levite...one that is carried forward from father to son since the time of the ancient Temple in Jerusalem.

Jo
