I need to rule out that this burial in 1879 in St-Stanislas, Quebec for an Abraham Jacob is not my Abraham Jacobs born in England circa 1825. I know he was in Quebec Canada in the mid to late 1860s. Found in the Providence, RI 1870 census with wife Mary and family. Last appeared in Providence city directory in 1873/73. (There were two Abraham Jacobs in Providence at that time. Mine sold crockery the other clothing.)

Wife and family in 1880 NYC census in which she was a widow. Possible father was Woolf Jacobs who died in England. Have not found a death record in US or Findagrave.com memorial entry.

Don't need word for word translation. Just info to help rule in or out.

As I say, I am 99% sure not my Abraham Jacobs.Thank you. David Brener Ephrata, PA ID 168730

9/8/2021 10:24 PM the text is not reproduced very well and the image is rather small but I can discern his age of 83 years, so born around 1796, which gives us a discrepancy of 29 yrs with your suggested year of birth
