Having trouble translating. I get a few parts of it, but don't understand it all. His American name was Rachmiel Drizin and his family came from Dagda, Latvia. I appreciate any help, Thanks.

His name is preceded by an abbreviation that translates to "our teacher, the rabbi". This abbreviation means that he had rabbinic ordination; he was not necessarily the rabbi of a congregation or community. I do need to point out that this abbreviation was occasionally used in error, so I suggest trying to obtain confirmation of his rabbinical status from an additional source.

His father's name is preceded by 'Reb'; it does not mean rabbi.

His father's name is either Michel or a misspelling of Michael. Michael would be pronounced mee-chah-el. Michel is a Yiddish nickname for Michael.

The 19th of Tishri of the year 5693 began at sunset on October 18th, 1932, and ended at sunset on the 19th.

Hello Mashiach,

It is reasonable to assume that the name Rachmiel is the shortened or more casual version of part of his Hebrew name, Yerachmiel.
