can some please translate the gravestone of Betzalel Yosef gluck

The top lines are lines of praise in the form of an acrostic poem; the acrostic can be seen in the enlarged letters.

The top line includes the entire first part of his name, Betzalel (with a play on words), and the next four lines begin with the letters of the second part of his name, Yosef.

He feared G-d and kept company with the pious.

And he raised his children in the path of Torah.

He supported the poor and maintained them in their misfortune.

He labored and faithfully occupied himself with the needs of the community.

Our teacher Chayim, may his memory be a blessing, passed away on Simchat Torah

of the year 5696. May his soul be bound up in the bond of life.

It is not clear to me why he is referred to as Chayim in the line that gives the date of death. Chayim, in addition to being a man's name, means Life. Perhaps this was a way of saying that for them he was still alive, or that he was still alive in the Hereafter, or they were saying "May he live again" (in the future).

He died on the holiday of Simchat Torah. The exact Hebrew date is the 23rd day of the month of Tishri. In the year 5696, this date began at sunset on October 19th, 1935, and ended at sunset on the 20th.

This is the first helper with an update.

The poster has told me that Chayim was the father's name. Taking another look at the stone, I see that what I thought were decorations next to the name of the deceased actually contain text. This text changes the meaning.
