Category: Translation - German Approval Date: 8/25/2021 1:23 PM Family Surname: Biber Country: Austria Town: Vienna Date of Image: August 16, 1956	Click the picture to enlarge	This is a cemetery notice related to my maternal great-grandfather who died in Buchenwald concentration camp. I have always known his name to be "Itzig Leib Biber" and I am eager to know what this letter means, especially the sentence that has the name "Kussner" in it: "Es wird h.a. bestatigt, dass die Urne des in Buchenwald am 16. April 1940 verstorbenen Herrn Kussner reckte Biber Itzig Leib, 61 Jahre alt, am 24. Mai 1940 auf dem Zentralfriedhof, IV" Any help understanding what this sentence means is greatly appreciated!! 8/25/2021 6:53 PM	The urn with his remains was buried on 24 May 1940 at the central cemetery at burial plot 14, row 7, section 20b, gate 4 61 years old His surname was also Kussner According to whether at the time he was considered of legitimate or illegitimate birth, one of the surnames is of his father and the other of his mother
