I am looking for a translation of the Hebrew on this tombstone. Grateful for any help! Thanks for your time.

At the top:

Here lies

This is followed by seven acrostic lines; the enlarged letters at the beginning (right end) of each line spell his Hebrew name.

The first five-and-a-half lines are words of praise and mourning. If you would like these translated, please let me know.

The end of the 6th line contains his name: YOSEF LAYB

The other lines read:

son of Reb Shmuel David may he rest in peace [this refers to the father], who passed away

20 Sivan of the year 5660.

May his soul be bound up in the bond of life.

'Reb' is an honorific; it does not mean rabbi.

In this case, its more words of deep mourning than praise...

Worth noting in the text: he was plucked in the spring of his life, taken, to the sorrow of his wife and home.

In modern Hebrew the word I read as "his home" can be read as "his daughter". However, I think that would be incorrect - "his daughter" was not written like that then.
