Am I correct in assuming Ab stands for Abraham?
The child died in December 1878. What does 149 and the word after it in the last column signify? I would appreciate a translation of the 2 middle columns. Thank you very much.

Yes, Ab. is most likely Abraham, although I suppose there's also Absalom...
