Hello Emma,

What appears in the column for last residence for Moritz Weiss seems to be "Horsan". Be sure to keep in mind that this form was completed by an English speaker, therefore the spelling may have been as it was heard, rather than an exact spelling.

In checking through the JewishGen Town Finder (using the phoenetic spelling option), there is a listing for HARSANY in Hungary. It is locted 84 miles ENE of Budapest and 9 miles S of Miskolc which was in Borsod County during all of the time periods listed on that chart.

It is my educated guess that it might be worth your while to check this town out further in your search. The pronunciations of both are very similar.
