In a Hebrew leap year a leap month is added, a second month of Adar, thus Adar II.

The literal reading of the last name, as written on the stone, is Mehshki.

His father's name, Shlomo, is the Hebrew for Solomon. This does not necessarily mean that this was his secular name.

The 2nd of Adar II of the year 5673 began at sunset on March 10th, 1913, and ended at sunset on the 11th.
