I would be extremely grateful for a transcription and translation of this document if possible. It is from a postcard written by a woman to her husband in the UK on her arrival in Gdynia on 25 August 1939 - she had come to Poland to visit her parents; you may be able to imagine what her fate was. In lines 9-11 she writes about her feelings about the possibility of war but I am afraid that I am struggling to decipher the handwriting in the rest of the document beyond a few words here and there. I would therefore really appreciate it if someone much more skilled in 1930s handwriting could help me with this. Many thanks in advance.

Illegible (I was in Gdynia?...)

I have had a great time, I got a tan and also gained 2.5 kgs in weight, now 72 kgs. * for several days and to Warsaw to see * and Cyp?. There is a bit of unrest, but I still do not believe in the possibility of war.

Gdynia 25.08.39
B! I spent 9 days at the seaside and had a great time. I tanned and improved (2.5 kg loss in weight - now 72.5 kg). Today I am going to Warsaw for a couple of days to see ….. and Cyp (maybe from the name Cyprian) It is a bit turbulent here, but I still do not believe in the possibility of war. I lived for a week in .... and for one day in Karwia and in Jastrzębia Góra together with Mancia (Mania), who played here with her children. Write often. J.... Your .… Dżyl.. ???

Question if the text was written realy by a woman. Grammar forms used here ("byłem, spędziłem, opaliłem, mieszkałem, Twój" instead of "byłam, spedziłam... Twoja") indicate a man as an author.
