Category: Translation - Tombstone Approval Date: 8/4/2021 12:55 PM Family Surname: HORWITZ OR GUREVICH Country: Lithuania Town: OSZMIANY Date of Image: possibly July 2015	Click the picture to enlarge	A DNA match of mine posted this picture of a gravestone on Ancestry.com and associated it with a Morris possibly Horwitz or Gurevich in her family tree. Neither of us can read it, so we don't know what names or other information are on it. Can someone help?

8/5/2021 7:02 AM	The only thing, possibly useful, that I can make out is that the tombstone refers to someone who is a Cohen-- of the priestly caste descended from Aaron.
8/8/2021 10:40 PM	If a date of death can help. It's in the month of Adar-II 5622 (March 1862). However, I don't think it's either one of the names you mentioned. It's not Horowitz, as it definitely has the sound ISH towards the end. I don't think it's Gurevich, as the name seems to continue after the ISH sound, and I think it's a L before the ISH.
