Żyrardów

After WWI, Dauman family, which for generations had to do with production of spirits, bought a spirits factory, founded by another family. Until WWII, they produced nice spirits. During German occupation, manufacture continued, for the Germans. After fall of Warsaw uprising, the factory was a sort of asylum to survivors of the uprising and to civilians. In times of communist Poland, the factory produced nice spirits under government control.
