My Dear!
I gat yesterday the Syoma's letter and today - Masha's one.
Thanks heartily for the letters and for the chocolate.
Lyalya's gladness about the chocolate you may imagine.
But she torments me from yesterday - I should pay her for everything by chocolate. I am very glad you like her picture. She has, indeed, big and sad eyes, but it doesn't prevent her to be a terrible hoyden.
You ask, Masha, if she looks like Misha? In my opinion

she is his very picture, but there are many who see much likeness to me. She has biggger, not brown eyes. His size, my color. All in all she is nice girl.
what can I tell you about my life. it is terribly monotonous. time passes drearily...

From Mish I get sometimes short notes with opportunity. but they cannot, regretfully to be instead of letters.
It make nervous that is impossible to wright, to have a talk at least in written form. Apparently
