Yes, the name does read Friedman.

The name on the bottom is bit of a challenge, not only because of the angle but because the edge of the shadow obscures the tops of the letters.

What I can read is:

MINA, followed by Maltzia in brackets

daughter of Berel and Sarah __________, may they rest in peace.

The family name can be one of several: Block or Gluck or something similar. Do either of these names make sense to you?
