Mrs. SHEVA daughter of Reb Dov

She passed away 4 Tevet 5665

May her soul be bound up in the bond of life.

Tombstones rarely are written with vowels, and this is the case here.

I am reading the Hebrew name as Sheva, as this is the normal pronunciation of this word; a more common woman's name would be Batsheva. That being said, it is possible that her Hebrew name might have been pronounced Shava, an exact match to her secular name.

'Reb' is an honorific; it does not mean rabbi.
