This is a marriage document. There should be a second page, on which are listed two witnesses and the signatures of the groom, bride, and witnesses.

The document is dated in Berlin on June 18th, 1908.

The groom was the traveling merchant Jakob Gehr, Jewish, born April 30th, 1870 in Pakosch, district Mogilno, living in Berlin, at Mendelssohnstrasse 15. He was the son of Master Butcher Ferdinand Gehr and his wife Dora nee Dehr, both deceased and last living in Pakosche.

The bride was Martha Schindler, without occupation, Jewish, born Oct. 19th, 1878 in Berlin, residing in Berlin, at Dircksenstrasse 42, daughter of the merchant Simon Schindler, living in Berlin, and his deceased wife Gertrude nee Schindler, last living in Berlin.

The additional entry in the top right margin says that the wife of this marriage died on June 18th, 1940.
