our beloved parents

They were precious of spirit,

dedicated to the nation of Israel, to its land, and to its holy ones

He passed away 28 Shvat 5725

[Left side]: MIRYAM daughter of Reb Yosef

She passed away 27 Menachem Av 5724

[In the center]: May their souls be bound up in the bond of life.

Note that 'Reb' is an honorific; it does not mean rabbi.

Isaac's father was Shimon. The exact secular version of this name is Simon.

Miriam's father was Yosef; the exact secular version is Joseph.

The month of Menachem Av also has the shorter name of Av.
