Hello Carol,

The translation of the tombstone is as follows:

"Here lies the dear and pleasant woman, Mrs. Chaya Raizel, Bas/(daughter of) Reb Zev, who died on the 25th day of the Hebrew month of Adar I.....May her soul be bound up in the bonds of eternal life."

The word Reb, which precedesg the single given name Zev, is an often-used honorific title. It does NOT imply rabbi.

The Hebrew month is noted as Adar I, as that particular year on the Hebrew calendar was a leap year with two months of Adar within it. This death occurred during the first month of Adar.

Her father's name, which the first helper transcribed as "Zev", is a two-syllable name, Ze'ev, and is pronounced zeh-EHV.

The 20th of Adar I of the year 5689 began at sunset on March 1st, 1929, and ended at sunset on the 2nd.
