Mr. Klein's birthplace is Csenger in Szatmár county, which is now in the combined-remnant county of Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg. It's near the northernmost corner of Hungary's border with Romania, less than ten miles west of Szatmárnémeti (Satu Mare).
