The document is dated Berlin, 14th March 1903

The groom was tailor Max Biesenthal, Jewish religion, born December 11th, 1879 in Wollstein district Bomst. He was the son of merchant Jakob Biesenthal and his wife Rosalie nee Pick, both deceased and last living in Wollstein.

The bride was seamstress Olga, Elsbeth Keller, evangelical religion, born May 29th, 1881 in Stendal, district City of Stendal. She was the daughter of Station-Assistant Otto Alexander Keller and his wife Dorothea nee Albrecht, both living in Charlottenburg near Berlin

Witnesses:

The unmarried Martha Keller, Governess, 26

The master tailor Heinrich Jeschonneck, 49 years old

The note in the margin on the second page speaks about a death, but it is not clear to me whose (there is a ‘1’ on the top line, so perhaps it was the husband), recorded as item number 106 in the Register of 1936 of Berlin-Tegel.

The brides name is given with a comma between the names Olga and Elsbeth, and she omitted the Olga in her signature, so perhaps she did not use the name Olga.
