This page of a letter from my Grandfather's brother has some parts written in Russian, with the rest written in Yiddish . The person that translated suggested I repost to have the translation done of the Russian parts.

I thank you very much for your dear [kind, loving] writing.
Just as my husband had doubts in the beginning about traveling to America, now he is already motivated to travel sooner. The situation here in Lithuania has really become terrible. Day by day new surprises, but not of the good kind, only of the bad. [-- I can't understand the next sentence but it clearly expreses concern about the future, and mentions "the war".]

Knowing that you know the Russian language I permit myself to write you a few words in Russian.
