No. 7 Kuchary
It came to pass in the village of Kuchary on the 26th of November/8th of December 1848 at 3:00 PM that there appeared [before us] the Jew Salomon Dauer, rabbi of the city of Płońsk, along with the Jew Mr. Eliasz Halpern, widower, age 47, born in the city of Suwałki to the late Joel & Małka Halpern, residing for now in the city of Vilna in Russia and making his living as a merchant and Rozalia (née Posner) Mayzels, the widow of […] Mayzels, age 27, daughter of the late Salamon Markus Posner and his wife Rachela with whom she has been living to date, the owner of the Kuchary estate, and in the presence of the witnesses Mr. Abraham Grünbaum, administrator of tht Kuchary estate, age 46, and Izaak Kohn, teacher, age 35, residents of Kuchary, testified that today between Mr. Eliasz Halpern and Rozalia (née Posner) Mayzels a religious marriage was concluded and that said marriage was preceded by three marriage banns announced on the 30th of October/11th of November, the 6th/18th and the 13th/25th of November of the current year here in Sochocin. The newlyweds stated that on the 22nd of November/the 4th of December of the current year before the Regent Jarosław [?] Piotrowski in the city of Płońsk a prenuptial agreement was concluded. This document was read out to the petitioner and to the witnesses and duly signed by us, by the rabbi and by those present.
