It came to pass in the city of Płońsk on the 7th of February 1869 at 4:00 PM that there appeared [before us] Zelik Rozen, assistant rabbi of the Płońsk District, along with Jakob Wassercug, age 51, and […] Peraier, age 51, both synagogue sextons residing in the city of Płońsk, and testified that on this day there was concluded a religious marriage between Zalman Kane, a bachelor, age 20, born in Płońsk, son of Abram Dawid & Peril Szajna Zalmanówna, living in Płońsk with his parents, and Genendel Dzikowska, a single woman, born in the city of Płońsk, daughter of Lejzor & Brana Dzikowski, age 22, residing in the city of Płońsk with her parents. This marriage was preceded by three marriage banns announced in the synagogue here on the 11th, the 18th and the 25th of January of the current year. Consent for the marriage was given verbally by the newlyweds’ parents. The newlyweds stated that they had not concluded any prenuptial agreement. This document was read out by us to those present and duly signed, the young couple and the rabbi indicated that they do not know how to read or write.
