Category: Translation - Polish Approval Date: 9/20/2026 2:58 PM Family Surname: Schreckinger and Karp Country: Poland Town: Sambor (now in Ukraine)	Click the picture to enlarge	Wish to translate into English. My aunt Lillie, who this document is about, was born in Sambor in 1909, and her mother Chane Karp, died in 1924 in nyc. Wondering why this document needed, and dated 1925. Chane, Leicie and Malcie emigrated to NYC in 1912 to be with their father Elias/Alex Schreckinger. Feige Karp was Chane’s mother.

Hello,
This is simply a certified copy of the birth record dated in Sambor, 11 August 1925. There is no indication as to why it was requested.

Birth: 9 October 1909, Sambor

Naming: 12 October 1909, Sambor

Child: Lea, female, illegitimate [because parents were only married religiously, not civilly]

Father: [blank]

Mother: Chane KARP, residing in Sambor, married under Jewish rite with Elie SCHRECKINGER (merchant in Sambor), daughter of the deceased merchant Binem KARP and of Feige KARP in Sambor

Witness/Sandek/Shammes: Gerson REISS, merchant in Sambor

Midwife: Fani TEIBELES
