This handwritten Yiddish message is on the reverse of a family photograph showing a married couple with two young girls. Family oral history says the woman may be one of Judko/Judka Gitman's two sisters from Biskupice in the Lublin region of Poland, but the identity is unconfirmed. All four are believed to have died during the Holocaust. Please provide: (1) an exact Yiddish transcription, (2) a full English translation, (3) transliteration of every personal and place name, and (4) any date, writer, recipient, or kinship terms. Please mark uncertain readings letter by letter. Source: privately held family photograph.

9/7/2026 4:09 PM Dear uncle, have pity on Eta, on her and her bitter situation. There (will?) be a wedding, there is a lack (of money?) she has no one to turn to. If you don't answer me, if you don't help her it will be the case that nothing will come of the match. And one more thing, there will be 3 victims. Your brother left behind 3 children --- save ---- From me Chana
