This is the death record of Zacharjas Josef GOLDMAN, recorded in Lublin on August 21, 1936. I'm trying to find his date of death. I see October 1st (which makes no sense) and then I can't translate the next four words and then I see the word "year".
Can someone please help?

Hello,
The section you are reading refers to the date of birth, not date of death. It reads as follows:

“…urodzony dnia pierwszego października tysiąc osiemset osiemdziesiątego dziewiątego roku w Lublinie…”

meaning: “born on the 1st of October, 1889 in Lublin.”

The information on time of death begins in the middle of the fifth line. You probably had trouble finding it because Zacharjasz Josef died on the same day as the registration, so (as is common in these records) the clerk just wrote “today” (“dnia dzisiejszego”) rather than writing everything out again.

That section reads as follows:

“…dnia dzisiejszego o godzinie siódmej minut czterdzieści pięć w Lublinie zmarł…”

meaning: “died in Lublin today at 45 minutes past the seventh hour [7:45].”

In full, for your reference, here is the text:

“Działo się w mieście Lublinie dnia dwudziestego pierwszego sierpnia tysiąc dziewięćset trzydziestego szóstego roku o godzinie dziesiątej. Przed niżej podpisanym Urzędnikiem Stanu Cywilnego dla wyznania mojżeszowego stawili się rabin Josef Przysucha oraz świadkowie: Moszek Szwalbe i Abram Grzebmacher, obaj bez zajęcia, pełnoletni, w Lublinie zamieszkali i oświadczyli że dnia dzisiejszego o godzinie siódmej minut czterdzieści pięć w Lublinie zmarł Goldman Zacharjasz Josef, wałkarz, syn Chila i Sury Chany z Kaufmanów, wyznania mojżeszowego, urodzony dnia pierwszego października tysiąc osiemset osiemdziesiątego dziewiątego roku w Lublinie, tudzież zamieszkały przy ulicy Ruskiej pod numerem dwudziestym piątym. Pozostawił żonę Serlę Małkę z Cederbaumów. Po przekonaniu się o śmierci, akt niniejszy przez nas odczytany stawającym i świadkom a następnie po przyjęciu go przez nas i przez nich podpisany został.
