7/22/2026 2:14 PM	The name of the child is Ita in Russian and Itke in Yiddish. Her father is Leib son of Pinchos Chenkin (the ‹ch› pronounced as in "chanuka"), mother is Buna (Buma is a transcription error). The name Itke can be thought of as Ita with the diminutive suffix "-ke" attached. Similarly, Eitel could be Ita with the diminutive suffix "-el" and a variation on the initial vowel.
