She passed away 14 Tamuz 5754

May her soul be bound up in the bond of life.

The Hebrew name Rachel is pronounced rah-CHELL in modern Hebrew/Sephardic pronunciation, and RAW-chell in traditional Ashkenazic. The ch is pronounced as in Chanukah or Bach.

Reb is an honorific.

Reuven [reh-OO-vayn] is Hebrew for Reuben.

The 14th of Tamuz, 5754, corresponds to June 22nd/23rd, 1994.

(By the way, if this is someone important to you, and you would like to mark the Jahrzeit/Yohrzeit [anniversary of the date of death] by, for example, lighting a memorial candle or giving charity in her memory or doing an act of kindness, etc., the 14th of Tamuz is coming up soon. This year, it will begin at sunset next Sunday, the 28th of June, and will end at sunset on Monday.
