This is my great-great-great-great-grandfather’s sister’s 1835 marriage record from Rypin, Płock, Poland. I would like it translated in full (or at least everything that isn’t the standard wording of a marriage record).

Names that I would expect to see in the text are:
- the bride: Bajla GROTSZTEYN/GROSSTEIN, daughter of Lewin and Raca.
- the groom: Jozef BARAN.

Hello,
Here is all the relevant information. One note: The bride’s father is listed as “Lefek,” a name more commonly spelled “Lewek.” I believe that Lewek and Lewin are essentially part of the same family of Jewish male given names, all meaning “lion.”

Bride: Bayla GROSSZTEYN, unmarried, daughter of Lefek GROSSZTEYN (residing in Rypin) and Ratza (deceased), 20 years old, born in Osiek

Witnesses: Szmul ZYLBERSZTEYN, synagogue sexton, 31 years old; and Leyzer REYCH, hospital worker, 50 years old; both residing in Rypin

Marriage Banns (Announcements): At the synagogue in Rypin on 2, 9, and 16 March 1835
