I have a series of photos of gravestones I took when I traveled to Kopaihorod in the early 1990s. Please excuse the amateur quality of them. On some I am aware that only part of the inscription is visible. Please translate the Hebrew and or Russian as appropriate. Many thanks.

On  Response
6/14/2026 6:43 PM The hands at the top of the stone normally indicate that the deceased was a Cohen (member of the priestly tribe), but I do not see this indicated in the text. However, the left edge of the text is cut off.

Here lies

the "Bachur" Moshe Yechiel son of Eliezer ____?

He passed away __ Av of the year 56__

May his soul be bound up in the bond of life.
----------------------------------------
"Bachur" is a term that refers to a young unmarried male (over the age of Bar Mitzvah).

The year of death is partly cut off and partly hidden behind the leaves.

Av is a summer month.
