I have a series of photos of gravestones I took when I traveled to Kopaihorod in the early 1990s. Please excuse the amateur quality of them. On some I am aware that only part of the inscription is visible. Please translate the Hebrew and or Russian as appropriate. Many thanks.

Again, 'Reb' is an honorific.

Tzvi is Hebrew for deer. The Yiddish word for deer is Hirsh. Because of this, some men with the Hebrew name Tzvi have a secular name that sounds similar to Hirsh, such as Harry, Harold, Herbert, etc. Or, his "secular" name (or nickname) might have been Hersh/Hirsh.

Yaakov is Jacob.

His date of death, if it is the 15th, is inscribed strangely. The Hebrew representation for 15 is Tet-Vav, or 9+6, rather than what would be expected: Yud-Hay, 10+5, because Yud-Hay spells out one of the versions of G-d's name.

It MIGHT be the 18th, in which case the '8' is not properly engraved.

In any case: the 15th of Av, 5694, corresponds to July 26th/27th, 1934. The 18th would be 3 days later.
