Category: Translation - Tombstone Approval Date: 5/31/2026 4:46 PM Family Surname: unknown Country: Ukraine Town: Kopaihorod Date of Image: circa 1990	Click the picture to enlarge	I have a series of photos of gravestones I took when I traveled to Kopaihorod in the early 1990s. Please excuse the amateur quality of them. On some I am aware that only part of the inscription is visible. Please translate the Hebrew and or Russian as appropriate. Many thanks. L14

5/31/2026 6:33 PM	[Here lies] the "Bachur" [(young) unmarried man] EFRAYIM son of Reb Daniel. He passed away 7 Kislev 5689. May his soul be bound up in the bond of life. ----------------------------------------------- Efrayim [eff-RAH-yim] is a Biblical name. The 7th of Kislev, 5689, corresponds to November 19th/20th, 1928.
5/31/2026 6:34 PM	I neglected to add that I cannot read the Russian. Again, I'd suggest posting it as a new image, under the category translation-Russian. (Or, you can post a request to the Discussion Group, pointing out that the Hebrew has been translated, but that you need a translation of the Russian.)
