This image is an excerpt from Sniatyn (at the time part of the Autro-Hungarian empire) in 1858. It's the homeowners' registry. This is the only record I have of my great-great-great-grandfather Hersch Schifer (our name evolved in Schifres later).
I am interested in the line above and the line below his (so only the lines highlighted in yellow) but I would need the headers translated as well. I don't speak german.
I can read Moses Schifer (line 261) but I can't read line 259. It's another Schifer but I can't read the first name. I also don't understand why there is a "Strumberger Chaim" in line 259 below, and I am hoping the german between the two names would share some light in the matter, or if not, the remarks at the end of the line on the right. I want to know if this is a married couple, or what other reason they would both be mentioned. Thanks in advance!
