I am putting everything here. I wrote a few notes in brackets for clarification.

Envelope: To Mr. Emmanuel Gerstner, from S. Sonnenshein, Krakow. Date on the envelope July 1936

With God's help, the 3rd (Av) Parshat Devarim
Krakow, July 22, 1936

Dearest nephew.
I, your uncle Shloime Sonnenshein from Krakow, come to you to share unpleasant news. Namely, your father Moishe Sonnenshein has died at Purim. Indeed, I immediately wrote to you at the time that you should say kaddish. But I am now informed that the letter did not reach you. So I write you again. Indeed, he came here last winter, in November and was in the hospital for 6 weeks. Then he travelled back home. Then it got worse again. He came back again to Krakow and went to a different hospital. He was there barely 3 days from Thursday until Shabbos. Shabbos they contacted me and I went straight there, but he was not talking anymore and was no longer conscious. I took him straight to my home and he lay there in my home until Sunday noon without being conscious. Then we took an (ambulance?) and travelled to Oswiecim (presumably to his home) but on the way there he died (March 8, 1936). So the yortzeit is still on Purim. I wrote you you immediately.

Today your sister Toyba came here from Oswiecim because she is getting married on August 8th and she tells me that you haven't written her all this time. I recalled that you didn't receive the letter and I am writing you again and you should say kaddish and keep the yortzeit on Purim. At the same time, I mention to you, perhaps it is possible that you can be helpful to your siblings with something. You should remember them, and from time to time support them, because the situation in Poland is very bad and especially for them. Nothing more of importance (to say). Everyone sends warm regards. And please remember my remarks. With regards, your uncle, Shloime Sonnenshein.
