Category: Translation - Russian Approval Date: 4/26/2026 7:08 PM Family Surname: Blank Country: Ukraine Town: Odessa	Click the picture to enlarge	Like many others most of my family correspondance has been lost after the war. This 4 page letter is one of the very few surviving documents we have. We only have the first half of the first page. I can read the name of my great-grand father (Aizik) but not much else as I cannot read cursive Russian. Any help with a translation would be greatly appreciated.

4/29/2026 11:04 AM	This letter is written in Yiddish using Russian letters. Apparently the writer could speak Yiddish but could not write it. A little later today I will attempt to transcribe it for you.
4/29/2026 11:13 AM	The first two pages seem to be in Yiddish using Russian letters, while the second two are in Russian. Also as far as I can tell, the first two pages are addressed to "dear Mother" and the others to a daughter who, presumably, speaks better Russian than Yiddish
