Please find attached what I understand to be a residence registration from Lodz 1920 for Moszek Bergbaum. I am looking for clarification of his mother’s maiden name shown in the section:
“Imiona rodziców i nazwisko panieńskie matki: Izrael i Róża ur. Churska” (“Names of parents and mother’s maiden name: Izrael and Róża, born Churska”). In many years of family research I have never before come across this surname name nor have I found it in any online database; the closest found online is Jorski/Hurski. I would be grateful for (a) confirmation that I have read correctly the original registration as “Churska” and (b) responses from anyone with 19th century records with the “Churska” surname particularly, but not exclusively from Lodz.
