Hello,

I'm hoping to have this handwritten Polish text from a Holocaust testimony translated to English, ideally with the full text of the paragraph.

He was an activist of the leftist Poala-syjon, who brought in into his shop a number of people from the political active(?). Comrade Lewartowski had a hide-out on the grounds of the workshop where he hid each time the Germans showed up on the grounds of the shop. One time - if I remember correctly, at the end of August, 1942 - Dr. Berman, very agitated, come to me running (at the time, we lived together on Lubuska 4/2) with the news that during a subsequent hitlerite raid on the Landau shop, Comrade Lewartowski did not manage to hide and was taken with the whole group to the Umschlagplatz. The whole group, as I learned later, were loaded into railcars and sent to the death camp (Treblinka). This account is authentic and any other versions about the manner of comrade Lewartowski's death are baseless.
