Got your card of the 27th and [illegible – perhaps “wish”?] you all the best from it, as is the case with me as well. Here is my photo with the buddies who came with me and our nurses. I also heard from Moritz today and hope he’ll get a posting where his nerves can settle down. What else is new with you. I’m sure Julius and Moritz were happy to meet up. Hope to hear from you again soon. Hugs and kisses, with love from Wilhelm.

Von lb. Moritz hatte heute auch Nach-
richt, hoffe daß er einen Posten be-
kommt wo sich seine Nerven
wieder beruhigen können. Was giebts
sonst Neues bei Euch. Daß sich lb Julius
& Moritz getroffen haben wird sie sehr
gefreut haben. Hoffe recht bald wieder

PS. Actually “c/o Strauss” is wrong in the address. I thought it said “z.H.”, which is the equivalent of “Attn.:” in English – so not “c/o” at all (which would be “bei” in German). On re-reading it now looks like “z.A.”, which I cannot interpret.

PPS. Wait, got it! The writer uses an unusual mark several times which I finally realized means “&” (the ampersand). That’s what’s in the address, which is “Gust. & A. Strauss family” (my final answer!).
