Number 119. Dated in Borsa, 28 July 1896.
Informant: Nachmán Lax, agricultural day-laborer, residence Borsa, whom the below-written registrar knows personally.
Deceased: Rifke Káhán, Jewish, agricultural day-laborer family member, residence Borsa, birthplace Kális (Lengyel), age 96 years
Spouse: (the late Jákob Káhán) the late Smul Lax
Father: the late Jákób Káhán (Kális, Lengyel) merchant
Mother: the late Eidel "Nameless" family helper (Kális Lengyel)
Death: Borsa, 27 July 1896, 10 p.m.
Cause: old age
Read forth, explained in the Romanian language, approved and supplied with the illiterate informant's hand-mark.

All of the parentheses above are original. Some of them are in place of crossing out (which registrars were not supposed to do to handwritten text), others appear to be clarifications.

I cannot figure out the locations/residences: even the 1907 gazetteer still lists three different places named Borsa, and two of them had local registry offices and are now in Romania -- but neither one is in a county with anything Lengyel ("Polish"), and I can't find anything like Kális (or Káles, or Kálcs) anywhere. The (lack of) image resolution isn't helping.

Near as I can tell, both places in Romania are now called Borşa. One was in Máramaros and stayed Borsa in the 1913 gazetteer and on the 1914 administrative map, the other was in Kolozs and became Kolozsborsa sometime between 1907 and 1913.
