Category: Interpretation Approval Date: 6/21/2026 7:41 PM Family Surname: Zacks Country: Lithuania Town: Upyna possibly Date of Image: 1894	Click the picture to enlarge	Am trying to identify this passenger's address in Lithuania written in Steamship Passenger Ticket ledger in Philadelphia, 1894. I recently posted the same address from the wife's entry. This is the same address but from the husband's entry. Upon further inspection now, is it possible the top line is not a name at all, but the town name Upyna (misspelled Upine)? There is some indication in other docts the family came from Upyna (in Taurage district, Rossieny region, Kovno province). (Apologies if my Lithuanian municipality designations are misnamed). I don't know what the other words in top line might refer to. Might "Mis" be part of the town name (like greater, smaller, upper, etc as in Hungarian town names)? Thanks for any thoughts. 6/22/2026 2:37 AM	In my opinion Mis stands for miestas - town in Lithuanian I read: Town Upine Senisku (old in Lithuanian) Rosseiny (uyezd) Kovno (gubernija)
