Dear Mommy.

I hope that you are doing very well. We all are also doing very well. Morris can already go back to school now. Aunt is coming today at around 3:30 [changed from "Aunt is coming tomorrow"]. I had written a letter in which I wrote that Aunt wanted to come by plane but was hindered because of the storm. Now she's coming by train.
I wanted to write something to you. Yesterday Gerhard told me that his mother wrote to him, that he should write to her as to what he would like, since you are coming here and could bring it along. What is this? I know that I cannot write such a thing to Father, since he wouldn't understand it anyway. That is why I am writing it to you. Why are you doing this? I still look the same as I looked in Germany. I am 152.4 centimeters tall and I weigh 100 pounds. Now, why do you want to come? All of the money that you are spending on this trip you can use for many other things. And also, Aunt has already written many times that she is also not so well. A visit here in America is very different from one in Germany.
