Thanks to volunteers Mandy Diercks and Martha Kreisel, this index to 506 biographies about prominent Jewish men in America who have distinguished themselves in commercial, professional, and religious endeavors is taken from a two-volume book published in 1918 by the American Hebrew Publishing Company. Also published under the titles, “Eminent Jews of America” and “Prominent Jews of America”, there is significant information including birth origins, spouse names, immigration dates, and occupational history.
