It is in this old "House of Life" that the spiritual and rabbinical masters who led the Jewish community of Meknes between 1600 and 1930 were buried. << Serge Shlomo Berdugo >> Botton Inscription: This Stele was created based on the research work of Doctor Maury Amar. (All names on this plaque are titled as "Rabbi" even though the Hebrew names do not include the title haRav (the Rabbi). Names have been recorded as shown on the plaque.)
