Synagogue/Society Description: "The Binyamina colony is located at the foot of the Carmel and is named after the well-known benefactor, Benjamin Edmund de Rothschild. The Baron’s officials carefully selected the first 30 settlers, including graduates of the Mikveh Israel Agricultural School, peasants from the Judean colonies, Zichron Yaacov and Hadera, the Galilee, the veterans of the Hebrew Battalion and the wealthy. They were joined by settlers graduating from agricultural studies in California and the Netherlands." Photos courtesy of Eli Zvuluny and Streetsigns.co.il. Please see his site for more information.
