The mohel book was transcribed in German in the mid-1930s by Samuel Jeselsohn of Neckarbischofsheim, who himself was a descendant of the mohel. An article by Jeselsohn about this book can be found at Each entry contains the date of the circumcision, the town it was performed in, the name of the child and the name of the father. This proceeds the adoption of surnames in Baden so all of the names in this database need to be searched as given names.
